Is There a Mirror Feature in Adobe Fresco?
While Adobe Fresco doesn’t have a dedicated symmetry tool, it does offer a workaround using the Free Transform tool. This tool allows you to rotate, resize, mirror, distort, apply perspective effects, or freely transform your designs in Fresco.
To use the Free Transform tool for mirroring, follow these steps:
- Select the layer you want to mirror.
- Tap the Free Transform icon in the toolbar (a square with a curved line across it).
- A blue bounding box will appear around the selected layer.
- Tap the “Mirror” icon in the toolbar (two arrows pointing in opposite directions).
- Select the orientation you want to mirror to: horizontal, vertical, or both.
- Drag the mirrored layer to its desired location.
- Tap the “Apply” button to finalize the mirroring.
This workaround allows you to create symmetrical designs by mirroring one half of the design and then adjusting the mirrored half to match the original. However, it’s important to note that this method can be time-consuming and may require some manual adjustments to ensure perfect symmetry.
Adobe Fresco is currently working on a dedicated symmetry tool, and there is a feature request available on the Adobe Fresco UserVoice page. You can upvote this request to show your support and help prioritize its development.
