How to Change Page Color in Adobe InDesign
There are two main ways to change the page color in Adobe InDesign. You can either create a rectangle frame that covers the entire page and fill it with the desired color, or you can redefine the [Paper] color in the Swatches panel.
Method 1: Create a Rectangle Frame
- Open your InDesign document.
- Select the Rectangle Tool (M) from the toolbar.
- Click and drag to draw a rectangle frame that covers the entire page.
- Fill the rectangle frame with the desired color.
- Send the rectangle frame to the back by right-clicking on it and selecting Send to Back.
Method 2: Redefine the [Paper] Color
- Open the Swatches panel (Window > Swatches).
- Double-click on the [Paper] swatch.
- Select the desired color from the Color Picker.
- Click OK.
Additional Tips
- If you want to apply a different color to specific pages in your document, you can create a master page with the desired color and apply it to those pages.
- If you want to use a pattern or gradient as your page color, you can create a swatch for the pattern or gradient and then apply it to the rectangle frame or the [Paper] color.
- If you are printing your document, you will need to make sure that your printer is capable of printing the desired color.
I hope this helps!
