How to Access Adobe Typekit From InDesign
Adobe Fonts, formerly known as Typekit, is a library of thousands of high-quality fonts that are available for use with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign. To access Adobe Fonts in InDesign, you’ll need to have an active Creative Cloud subscription.
Activating Adobe Fonts
- Launch Adobe InDesign.
- If you haven’t already, sign in to your Creative Cloud account.
- Open the Creative Cloud Libraries panel (Window > Creative Cloud Libraries).
- In the Creative Cloud Libraries panel, click the Find More button.
- In the Find More dialog box, type Adobe Fonts in the search bar and click Enter.
- Click the Install button next to the Adobe Fonts library.
- Once the Adobe Fonts library is installed, it will appear in the Creative Cloud Libraries panel.
Using Adobe Fonts in InDesign
- Open the Character panel (Window > Character).
- In the Character panel, click the Font Family drop-down menu.
- You will now see a list of all available fonts, including Adobe Fonts.
- To activate an Adobe Font, simply click on it in the list.
- The activated font will now be available for use in your InDesign document.

- When choosing a font, consider the overall tone and style of your document.
- Use Adobe Fonts sparingly to avoid making your document look cluttered.
