Copying Layers in Photoshop Elements to a New File

Photoshop Elements offers a variety of ways to copy layers from one image to another. This can be useful for creating new compositions, combining elements from different images, or simply organizing your work.

Method 1: Using the Move Tool

The Move Tool is a versatile tool that can be used to copy layers between images. To use the Move Tool to copy layers, follow these steps:

  1. Open the source image and the destination image.
  2. In the source image, select the layer or layers that you want to copy.
  3. Select the Move Tool. You can find it in the Tools panel, or by pressing the V key.
  4. Click and drag the selected layer(s) to the destination image.

Method 2: Using Duplicate Layer

The Duplicate Layer command is a quick and easy way to copy a layer to a new image. To use the Duplicate Layer command, follow these steps:
